The 1% (with eager Republican assistance) versus Voters
From 3-4 weeks ago, late September, before the latest surge in Republican election fraud. Those with money in power representing the rich once again shows itself as the real problem hiding behind the distraction ploy of voter ID fraud. It’s not even about discrimination (much too much work and too easy to record for the 1%) as much as to allow them to appoint the candidates they own. The real issue is to allow them to continue their registration and vote machine fraud while people are lost in a meaningless debate of whether we need enhanced bathtubs to stop Grover Norquist from drowning:

In summary, Democrats have to save and spend wisely to make up for Republican excesses and bank runs:

ALEC Petitions
2 petitions I recently created to eliminate American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC) ties from local (Minnesota) corporations. Signers pledge to boycott or protest to corporations until they dump ALEC.
- Dunn Bros.: End all ALEC & Chamber of Commerce Funding. A boycott of Dunn Bros. The Chamber is included because it is a “member” that just happens to support everything ALEC does, but does so through lobbyists, election contributions, and its own political ad campaigns. This has made some progress already. Dunn Bros. corporate office has said it wants nothing to do with either ALEC or the Chamber. It even removed the Chamber member seal from its corporate office. 1 franchise has ended or never was a member of the Chamber. What remains is to get Dunn to add ALEC and the Chamber to what amounts to its “Do Not Join List”. So far, it seems content to let franchises to join whatever organizations it wants.
- Stop Aquatennial ALEC Support The lead sponsor that the Torchlight Parade is now named after, CenterPoint Energy, is a member of ALEC directly and through the American Gas Association (AGA – feel free to substitute a fracking F for the G) and the Chamber of Commerce. Other big sponsors include Target and US Bank. It’s a parade by and of the corporations. Even McDonald’s and that clown was part of the 2012 parade. This parade should be considered a front group. It’s literally owned by the “Minneapolis Downtown Council”, which is another corporate association that provides a front for government and Chamber of Commerce deals.

Sadly, Twitter has been failing since its forced “upgrade” into the new twitter last year when it comes to accessing your past tweets. This includes only what I’ve posted or retweeted. I’ll post more as it becomes available and this blog may turn into my twitter archive.
